LE SUEUR, Minn. – For the second straight tournament, Augsburg University men's golfer
Jack Berry (FY, Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS) earned medalist honors, winning the Gustavus Adolphus College Bobby Krig Invitational, held Saturday and Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Berry claimed victory in the 97-golfer meet with a 2-over-par 215 total (72-73-70) -- 13 strokes better than his previous 54-hole collegiate-best score. He claimed 12 birdies in his 54 holes, with his final round 70 just a stroke off his season-best score. He has recorded scores in the 60s or 70s in 15 of his 19 competitive rounds in his initial college campaign.
• As a team, Augsburg finished in 11th place in the 12-school, 16-team tournament with a 54-hole total of 929. Augsburg shot a 309 in the first round, held Saturday at the New Prague Golf Club, then had rounds of 314 and 306 on Sunday at the Le Sueur Country Club.

Hunter Ubel (JR, Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS) finished in a tie for 42nd place with a 232 (79-78-75) score, a 54-hole collegiate career-best.

Max Gundlach (SO, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS) finished in a tie for 63rd place with a 240 (79-82-79) total, also a 54-hole collegiate career-best.

Vince Bertram (JR, St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech HS) shot 247 (79-86-82), and
Nick Mountain (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Hill-Murray HS), playing in just Sunday's two rounds, shot 168 (87-81).
