HAM LAKE, Minn. – Paced by a career-best individual finish by
Jack Berry (SO, Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS), the Augsburg University men's golf team finished in a tie for 7th place at its season-opening Augsburg Fall Invitational, held on Saturday and Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Berry shot a 1-under-par 71 in the first round on Saturday, then carded a 74 on Sunday for his 1-over-par 145, placing fourth in the 87-golfer event. He had three birdies on Saturday and four on Sunday, bettering his previous career-best 36-hole score by two strokes. It's his fourth top-five individual finish in his 10 collegiate career events.

Vince Bertram (SR, St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech HS) finished in a tie for 30th place with a 156 (78-78) total, while
Cameron Bullinger (SO, Fargo, N.D./Fargo Davies HS), a transfer from Wisconsin-Eau Claire, finished in a tie for 51st with a 164 (83-81) total.

Hunter Ubel (SR, Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS) finished in a tie for 61st with a 167 (86-81) total, with
Max Gundlach (JR, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS) shot 174 (90-84) to round out the Auggie lineup.

Drew Mamer (FY, Hastings, Minn./Hastings HS) made his collegiate debut with a 163 (81-82) total, tying for 47th place while competing as an individual.
• Also competing as individuals,
Conner Schneider (JR, Sun Prairie, Wis./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) shot 170 (89-81), and
Logan Gravink (JR, Andover, Minn./Andover HS) shot 171 (89-82).
• As a team, Augsburg finished in a tie for seventh place in the 12-school, 14-team meet with a 632 (318-314) total.
