Nick Brundy (Augsburg '16) has worked at Augsburg since 2019, currently as Strength & Conditioning Head Coach. Brundy works with the strength & conditioning staff to design and implement strength and conditioning programs for all 22 of Augsburg's varsity sports.

Brundy comes to Augsburg after gaining coaching experience at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels, as well as experience in the private sector and high school level in strength & conditioning. Most recently, Brundy worked for ETS Performance as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Irondale High School (Mounds View, Minn.), as well as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Lakeville (Minn.) North High School.

Prior to his time at ETS Performance, Brundy was the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Division II Southwest Minnesota State University, working directly for the Mustangs' football program. Brundy also interned with Division I UCLA (Calif.), again working directly with the football team, while also assisting in the implementation of all programing and all nutrition aspects of the program. Brundy's strength & conditioning career started at Augsburg University as an intern assisting with all varsity sports.

Brundy holds a Master's degree in Physical Education Coaching of Sport from Southwest Minnesota State University (2019) and Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Augsburg University (2016), where he was also a member of the Augsburg football program. He is a certifed Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

A native of Lompoc, Calif., Brundy currently resides in Prior Lake, Minn.

Walker Gotzinger (MSU-Mankato '20) joined the Augsburg staff as Strength & Conditioning Assistant Coach in 2022.

Previous Coaching Experience:
Since 2020, I have been fortunate enough to work in the private sector contracting training with individual athletes as well as team training in the Twin Cities. In the summer of 2022, I was able to do a mentorship under Kirk Olson, former MN Wild Strength and Conditioning Coach, working with collegiate hockey athletes. Most recently, I was working for Redline Athletics as a Director of Sports Performance before joining Augsburg University as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Personal Notes: 
I hold a bachelor's degree (2020) from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  A native of Cassville, Wis., I currently reside in Northeast Minneapolis.

One thing I preach to our athletes is that our habits define our goals. Each day it is our mission to set the foundation with good habits if we are to achieve our end goals. I am looking forward to seeing our athletes become successful individuals inside and outside of their sports.
