His 5.4 rebounds per-game average was 13th-best among MIAC players ... Playing a league-high 33.3 minutes per-game this season, Olmscheid led the MIAC in field goals made (225), while standing seventh in field-goal percentage (56.4), 10th in three-pointers (48), sixth in three-point percentage (46.2), first in free throws (115) and first in free-throw percentage (88.5) … Among NCAA Division III players in overall statistics, he ranked 19th in total points and 20th in free-throw percentage... He scored in double figures in his final 20 games in a row.

In MIAC games-only, her 11 goals and 26 points were also tops, with her four assists tied for second-most ... She had a goal or assist in 12 of Augsburg's 18 games, with the Auggies 11-0-1 in those games ... She had five multi-goal and seven multi-point games this season … Her 16 goals scored this season tied her 2016 total for the third-most in a single season in school history, with her 36 points tied for fifth-most.

1506114303LUCAS JESKE (Wrestling) -- NCAA National Champion (165 Pounds), NCAA All-American, NCAA Upper Midwest Regional champion, USA Wrestling/TheMat.com Athlete of the Week … Finished 39-1 with 22 pins, 3 technical falls and 7 major decisions … Earned trip to NCAA national championships with 165-pound title at NCAA Upper Midwest Regional, claiming 2 pins and a technical fall … At NCAA championships, claimed the Most Outstanding Wrestler award with a dominant performance, only the sixth Augsburg wrestler ever to earn the honor with three pins and a technical fall in the national title match … Jeske scored more team points at the national tournament than any other Augsburg wrestler in school history … Also claimed tournament titles at the Auggie-Adidas Open, Citrus Open, Saint John’s North Country Open … Ranked No. 1 or No. 2 all season … Earned the USA Wrestling/TheMat.com Athlete of the Week honors after a dominating performance at the NWCA D-III National Duals.

1505514988JADA LEWIS (2018 Indoor Track and Field) -- All-MIAC, All-MIAC Honorable Mention -- Sprints … Competed in the 60-, 200- and 400-meter dashes as well as the 4x200- and 4x400-meter relays … At the 2018 MIAC Indoor Championships, she was the 60-meter dash champion,  finishing with a season-best time of 7.77 seconds in the finals … Earned All-MIAC Honorable mention honors with a fifth-place finish in the 200 meter dash … Made her Augsburg debut winning the 60-meter dash at the Macalester Invite on January 19 … Finished the indoor season ranked 19th nationally in the 60-meter dash.

1504814959MIRACLE ADEBANJO (2017 Track and Field) -- All-MIAC Honorable Mention -- Sprints/Jumps … Competed in the 100-meter dash and triple jump… Earned All MIAC Honorable Mention honors with an eighth-place finish in 100-meter dash at the 2017 MIAC Outdoor Championships, as well finishing 13th in the triple jump… Consistently finished in the top-10 in the triple jump … He finished second on April 1 at St. John’s Invitational, third at Holst Invite on April 22, and sixth on April 29 at Gustavus.

1504312891CORRINA EVANS (Volleyball) -- All MIAC -- Middle blocker … Led the team and tied for the MIAC lead in total blocks (114.0) and block assists (103), while ranking second with a 0.99 blocks-per-set average … Her 275 kills (2.50 per-set) are third-best on the team, with her .271 attack percentage also third-best … Among NCAA Division III players nationally, she ranked 15th in total blocks … She recorded 10-plus kills in 16 of her 29 matches and three-plus blocks in 19 matches.

1310715105MUSTAFA ADAM (Football) -- As a linebacker and team co-captain in football, Adam finished the 2017 season second on the team in total tackles with 93 (33 solo), including 1.5 sacks (11 yards) and 5.5 tackles for-loss (36 yards), with 4 quarterback hurries ... Ranked second among MIAC defenders in tackles per-game (9.3), total tackles (93) and tackle assists (60) ... Has played 20 games in his Augsburg career, with 113 tackles (45 solo) ... Business major at Augsburg ... Diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS), a form of cancer, as an eighth-grader in River Falls, Wis., and again just before starting his first year at Augsburg ... Received chemotherapy during his first year at Augsburg while undertaking a full schedule of classes ... Cancer has returned again this year, and Adam had his right ear amputated to prevent the cancer from spreading ... MEN'S TEAM OF THE YEAR
15040WRESTLING (13-2 overall, NWCA Division III National Duals champion, NCAA Division III Upper Midwest Regional champion, 2nd at NCAA Division III National Championships) -- Augsburg won the NCAA Division III Upper Midwest Regional and qualified eight wrestlers, with only one senior among them, to the NCAA Division III National Championships, its 16th straight NCAA regional title. Finishing second at the national tournament, Augsburg claimed its 36th top-five national tournament finish in school history, earning five All-Americans. Augsburg had three national finalists and two national champions -- 165-pounder Lucas Jeske and 157-pounder Ryan Epps. Jeske earned the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler award, recording three pins and a 15-0 technical-fall win in the national title match. Sam Bennyhoff earned national runner-up honors at 133, Alex Wilson finished fifth at 149 and Tanner Vassar finished seventh at 174. Augsburg went 13-2 in dual meets, winning the NWCA Division III National Duals with a 21-17 triumph over Wartburg (Iowa) in the final. Augsburg finished fourth in the NWCA’s Scholar All-America Team standings with a 3.628 GPA, including eight individual Scholar All-Americans, and Victor Gliva earned the NCAA’s Elite 90 Award for having the highest cumulative GPA among competitors at the national championships.
WOMEN'S TEAM OF THE YEAR
15037SOCCER (12-4-2 overall, 8-1-2 MIAC, MIAC regular-season champions, MIAC playoff participant) -- Augsburg claimed the MIAC regular-season championship for the second time in a four-year span, going 8-1-2 in league play. The Auggies clinched the title with a 2-1, two-overtime win over St. Olaf in the regular-season finale. Coach Mike Navarre was named MIAC Coach of the Year for the second time in a four-year span, and forward Ashley St. Aubin earned MIAC Player of the Year on Offense honors. St. Aubin was also named to the United Soccer Coaches Division III All-America team as a second-team honoree, in addition to earning USC Division III All-North Region first-team honors. Defender Lauren Jennings was an All-MIAC and USC All-Region third-team honoree, while Ciara Gregory also earned All-MIAC honors and Jada Olson was named All-MIAC Honorable Mention.
MEN'S MOST IMPROVED TEAM
15029BASKETBALL (2017-18: 21-8 overall, 13-7 MIAC, MIAC playoff champions, NCAA playoff participant; 2016-17: 12-14 overall, 10-10 MIAC) -- Augsburg claimed its most wins in a single season since the 2012-13 campaign, winning the MIAC playoff championship for the first time in school history and qualifying for the NCAA Division III national tournament for the first time since 1998-99. The Auggies gained the MIAC titles with three wins over traditional conference men’s basketball powers in the playoffs -- a 67-55 home quarterfinal win over St. Thomas, an 80-68 semifinal win at No. 3-ranked Saint John’s, and an 81-69 championship game triumph at Bethel. The Auggies were led by post player Collin Olmscheid, who was named MIAC Player of the Year, D3hoops.com Midwest Region Player of the Year and all-region/district honors by D3hoops.com and the NABC, while also earning NABC All-America second-team and D3hoops.com All-America first-team honors. He earned All-MIAC first-team honors for the third straight year, while swingman Booker Coplin was named to the All-MIAC second team and guard Harry Sonie earned All-MIAC third-team and MIAC All-Defensive Team honors.
WOMEN'S MOST IMPROVED TEAM
150322017 LACROSSE (2017: 12-6 overall, 8-3 MWLC, MWLC playoff participant; 2016: 11-7 overall, 6-3 MWLC, MWLC playoff participant) -- Augsburg earned a trip to the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference postseason playoffs for the second straight year since joining the league. The Auggies won their first three games and five of their first six, then closed the regular season with three wins in their final four games, including a 16-15 overtime win at league rival Concordia-Wisconsin. Defender Christina Nelson earned All-MWLC first-team honors for the second team in a row, joining midfielder Delaney Everett on the first team. Attacker Helena Nguyen and midfielder Rachel Frantz were All-MWLC Honorable Mention recipients. Augsburg outscored its opponents by a 243-165 margin in 2017.
