KISSIMMEE, Fla. (3/22/05) -- Limited to just one hit in each game, Augsburg College dropped two games on Tuesday at the Rebel Spring Games tournament at the Osceola County Sports Complex, falling to Otterbein College (Ohio) 5-1 in the opener and 1-0 to St. Norbert College (Wis.) in the afternoon game. Augsburg is now 1-7 on the season.

In the Otterbein (4-4) game, the Cardinals built a 4-0 lead before Augsburg scored in the bottom of the sixth inning, when Katie Tweeten (So., Spring Grove, Minn.) drove in Lisa Uehling (So., Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) on the only Auggie hit of the game. Augsburg stranded three runners on base in the game.

Tweeten pitched for the Auggies, but just one of the five runs against her were earned, as Augsburg committed six errors. Tweeten struck out five while walking four and allowing six hits.

Augsburg managed just one hit and had only two baserunners in the game against St. Norbert (3-5). Trista Gundersen (So., Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS) had a hit and Liz Ehlers (Fr., St. Paul, Minn./Arlington HS) had a walk.

Shelley Harris (Jr., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest HS) pitched for the Auggies, allowing five hits while striking out one and not walking a batter.

Augsburg returns to action on Wednesday (3/23) with an 8:50 a.m. game against Eastern Connecticut State and a 2:20 p.m. game against Grove City (Pa.) at the Rebel Spring Games.
