MINNEAPOLIS – Augsburg University softball players
Zoe Adkins (SR, Homer, Alaska/Homer HS),
Jayden Evenson (SR, Mosinee, Wis./Mosinee HS),
Megan Gissler (JR, Louisville, Neb./Louisville HS),
Jaime Olson (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) and
Lola Pilon (JR, Farmington, Minn./Mounds Park Academy HS) were named to the Academic All-District Softball Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), it was announced this week.
Adkins is a sociology major with a 3.91 grade-point average, Evenson is an exercise science major with a 3.81 GPA, Gissler is a biology major with a 3.52 GPA, Olson is a business management major with a 3.55 GPA, and Pilon is a biochemistry major with a 3.78 GPA. It is Pilon's second straight selection to the Academic All-District squad, and the first for the remaining four Auggies. All five will earn Academic All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors this season, Evenson for the third time, Gissler, Olson and Pilon for the second time, and Adkins for the first time.

In her second year as an Auggie after transferring from Rainy River Community College, Adkins appeared in 16 games as a pitcher this season, starting 15 games and throwing 61.0 innings with five complete games. She recorded 22 strikeouts in her 16 appearances. In her two seasons at Augsburg, she appeared in 35 games, starting 30, with 11 complete games in 129.0 innings pitched. She finished her Auggie career at 6-21 with a 14.02 earned-run average and 40 strikeouts.

A four-year starter at second base, Evenson finished her senior season hitting .314 (32-of-102), with two doubles, a triple, nine RBI and 15 runs scored, starting all 37 games she played. She had two stolen bases and 11 walks, with a .353 slugging percentage, .386 on-base percentage and .739 OPS. She had a hit in 23 of her 37 games played, with six multi-hit games.
Starting 152 of 154 games in her career, Evenson finished with a .276 batting average (106-of-384), with 11 doubles, a triple, 35 RBI and 72 runs scored, to go along with 19 stolen bases and 42 walks. She had a .310 career slugging percentage and .347 on-base percentage. She finished her career with a .950 fielding percentage (27 errors in 538 defensive chances).

A two-year starter for the Auggies, Gissler moved from the outfield to shortstop this season, hitting .300 (24-of-80) with four doubles, a triple, a home run, five walks, nine RBI and seven runs scored, starting 34 of her 36 games. She had a .413 slugging percentage, .341 on-base percentage and .754 OPS. She had a hit in 15 of her 36 games played, with seven multi-hit games.
In 88 career games (60 starts), Gissler has a .236 batting average (38-of-161), with eight doubles, a triple, a home run, 14 RBI, 29 runs scored, 13 walks and three stolen bases. She has a .317 career slugging percentage, .301 on-base percentage and .900 fielding percentage (20 errors in 200 defensive chances).

A four-year starting left fielder, Olson hit .223 (25-of-112) in her senior season, with a double and triple, 10 RBI and 13 runs scored, with eight walks and three stolen bases. She recorded a .250 slugging percentage, .276 on-base percentage and .526 OPS, starting all 38 games this season. She had a hit in 16 of her 38 games played, with eight multiple-hit games.
Starting 154 of 155 games in her career, Olson finished with a .254 (106-of-417) batting average, with five doubles, a triple, 50 RBI, 48 runs scored and 34 walks. She had a .266 career slugging percentage and .316 on-base percentage in her career, and her 17 strikeouts are 10th-fewest in a career in school history. She finished with a .964 career fielding percentage, with just six errors in 166 defensive chances.

Pilon earned All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors for the second straight year in 2026, with a record-setting year for the Auggies. She set single-season school records for home runs (12), slugging percentage (.876) and total bases (92). Starting all 38 games, she hit .438 (46-of-105), the 10th-best single-season batting average in school history, with an OPS of 1.384, .876 slugging percentage and .508 on-base percentage. She scored 28 runs with 10 doubles, 12 home runs, 30 runs batted in (tied for eighth in school history) and 14 walks. She had 14 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI games, and collected at least one hit in 26 of her 38 games.
Among MIAC regulars in overall statistics, Pilon ranked second in batting average, first in slugging percentage, fourth in on-base percentage, second in OPS and second in home runs.
Starting all 118 games of her career, Pilon now has a school-record 20 career home runs and 786 defensive putouts. She is hitting .368 (125-of-340) in her career, ninth in career batting average. She has 31 career doubles (tied for sixth in school history), 86 RBI (fourth in school history), 218 total bases (fifth in school history), a .641 slugging percentage (second in school history), .442 on-base percentage, 37 walks and 10 hit-by-pitch (tied for third in school history).

Laura Heise, Augsburg finished with a 7-31 overall record and 2-20 conference mark in 2026.
The CSC Academic All-District team is part of the
CSC Academic All-America program. Nominated by athletic communication professionals at their schools, student-athletes must have a grade-point average above 3.50 (4.0 scale) and have outstanding athletic credentials. The Division III Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure, to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the Division III Academic All-America teams program.
