MINNEAPOLIS (4/19/06) -- Nicole Donofri (Fr., South St. Paul, Minn.) hit three doubles and drove in five runs in the first game, then pitched a complete-game effort, striking out five in the second game, as the College of St. Catherine claimed a doubleheader sweep of host Augsburg College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference softball doubleheader on Wednesday evening at Augsburg's Edor Nelson Field.

The Wildcats won the first game 10-2 in six innings and claimed the second game 5-3 to improve to 19-12 overall, 10-4 in MIAC play. Augsburg is now 12-18 overall, 5-9 in MIAC play, extending its losing streak to four straight games.

The Wildcats also scored in the first inning, as Tegan McDonough (Fr., St. Paul, Minn./Johnson HS) hit a double and scored on a single by Lewandowski. Another run came across in the third, as Lewandowski scored on a double-steal attempt.

Augsburg scored two runs in the third inning, as Magnuson singled and scored as Jacci Mattern (Fr., Lakeville, Minn.) hit a double and scored on an throwing error. The Auggies also scored in the sixth, as Trista Gundersen (Jr., Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS) singled and scored on a wild pitch.

Ashley Westerman (So., Bemidji, Minn.), Gundersen and Magnuson had two hits apiece for Augsburg, while Lewandowski had two hits for St. Catherine.
