TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Augsburg College softball team competed during its spring break week at the Tucson Invitational, its final nonconference action before beginning Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

The Auggies (2-16 overall) dropped all 10 games in Tucson against quality Division III competition. On Saturday, the Auggies fell 5-2 to Wisconsin-Platteville and 6-1 to Central (Iowa). On Monday, the Auggies dropped a 7-2 decision to Amherst (Mass.) and a 3-2 decision to Lakeland (Wis.). On Tuesday, the Auggies fell 5-3 to Denison (Ohio) and 1-0 to Marian (Wis.). On Thursday, the Auggies fell 6-1 to Edgewood (Wis.) and 11-2 to Wisconsin-Eau Claire. And on Friday, the Auggies closed the trip with a 12-0 loss to Wisconsin-La Crosse and a 7-6 loss to Edgewood.

The Auggies open MIAC play next Saturday (3/28) at 1 p.m., with a doubleheader at St. Benedict.
