MEET RESULTS
WINONA, Minn. --
Kelsey Hlavac (FY, Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley HS) recorded two second-place finishes, leading the Augsburg College women's swimming team at a triangular meet at St. Mary's University on Saturday.
Hlavac recorded a personal-best 1:15.60 time to place second in the women's 100-yard backstroke, and also recorded a 20:57.16 time to place second in the mixed 1,650-yard freestyle. The 1,650-yard time is the sixth-fastest time in school history.
In the triangular, Augsburg claimed a 36-33 win over Hamline and an 83-15 loss to St. Mary's. The win over the Pipers marks the first dual-meet victory for first-year head coach Kasi Clauson Lange.
Samantha Hebzynski (FY, Maple Grove, Minn.) recorded a third-place finish for the Auggies in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:25.83) and a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (1:16.80).
Katie Neff (JR, St. Paul, Minn./Central HS) recorded a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (1:26.52),
Dustina Granlund (FY, St. Paul, Minn.) placed fifth in the 100-yard freestyle (1:45.88), and
Carmen Lovato (FY, Oakland, Calif./Bayhill HS) placed eighth in the 50-yard freestyle (35.19).
Augsburg also competed in two relays, finishing second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:21.78) and third in the 200-yard medley relay (2:36.32).
Augsburg returns to action at the St. Catherine Triangular on Jan. 28.
