AUGSBURG INDIVIDUAL RESULTS - MISSOURI VALLEY OPEN
BILL FARRELL MEMORIAL INTERNATIONAL OPEN WOMEN'S 50KG RESULTS
MARSHALL, Mo. -- With three of its four competing wrestlers earning top-eight individual finishes, the Augsburg University women's wrestling team finished in 19th place at the Missouri Valley College Open on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Vayle-Rae Baker (FY, Benton, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) led the way for the Auggies, finishing in fourth place at 123 pounds with a 5-2 performance. She claimed two wins by technical fall on the day, and is now 7-2 on the season.

Gabby Skidmore (FY, Spooner, Wis./Cumberland HS) went 4-2 on the day, with three technical falls and a 1:36 pin, to finish in fifth place at 130 pounds. Skidmore is now 6-2 on the year.

Kaylee Moore (FY, Naches, Wash./Naches Valley HS) made her collegiate debut at 143 pounds and placed seventh, going 5-2 on the day. She had two technical falls and a 5:23 pin en route to her seventh-place finish.

Bel Snyder (SO, Deer Creek, Minn./Wadena-Deer Creek HS) went 2-2 on the day at 116 pounds, scoring a 2:12 pin, and is now 4-4 on the season.
• As a team, Augsburg finished 19th in the tournament with 50.0 points. The tournament attracted 34 teams, including several of the top NCAA and NAIA programs, as one of the largest early-season tournaments on the women's wrestling schedule.

Emily Shilson (FY, Maple Grove, Minn./Mounds View HS) competed in the 50-kilogram (110 pounds) class at the
Bill Farrell Memorial International Open on Friday and Saturday at the New York Athletic Club in New York City, finishing with a 1-2 record. She opened with a 10-0 technical fall win over Angelina Gomez of Emmanuel (Ga.), but lost in a 10-0 technical fall to Jamestown (N.D.) almnuae and current Team USA member Amy Fearnside in the quarterfinals. She was then edged 3-1 by Canadian wrestler Madison Parks in a consolation match.
