Auggies compete at Hamline dual meet

MEET RESULTS

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- For the second straight meet, Morgan Mangel (JR, St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech HS) set a top-10 time in school history in the 50-yard freestyle, leading the Augsburg University women's swimming and diving team at a dual meet at Hamline University on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Mangel tied her season high with the fifth-fastest time in Augsburg history in the 50-yard freestyle, winning the event in the dual meet in 25.69 seconds. The school record-holder in the event (25.34 seconds), Mangel now holds six of the seven fastest times in school history in the event. She also competed in the 200-yard individual medley, finishing third in 2:36.14.
• Trinity Boehlke (FY, Minnetonka, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) set a season-best time in the 100-yard backstroke with a second-place, 1:26.71 finish, taking five seconds off her previous best time. She recorded a 1:14.93 time in the 100-yard freestyle.
• Felix Mjelde (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) competed in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:47.38) and 100-yard butterfly (1:34.62).
Kristin Kaldahl (SO, Aurora, Minn./Mesabi East HS) competed in the 200-yard freestyle (2:37.48) and 100-yard freestyle (1:10.05).
• The four Auggie swimmers set a  2:30.42 time in the 200-yard medley relay and a season-best 4:44.78 time in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
• Auggie divers Alyssa Maciewski (FY, East Bethel, Minn./Coon Rapids, Minn.) and Patsy Thayieng (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Como Park HS) competed in both diving events. In the one-meter event, Maciewski scored 120.00 points, while Thayieng scored 77.20; in the three-meter event, Maciewski scored 94.60, while Thayieng scored 60.95.
