ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Kaitlynne Haag (SO, Fargo, N.D./West Fargo Sheyenne HS) recorded a second-place individual finish in the 50-yard freestyle, leading the Augsburg University women's swimming and diving team in a split of a quadrangular meet with Concordia University-St. Paul and Jamestown University (N.D.) at St. Catherine University on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Competing for the first time this season in the 50-yard freestyle, Haag finished second in 26.44 seconds. 
• Katie Kobel (FY, Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington HS) recorded a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:18.63) and sixth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (1:15.74).
• Lexci Wuorenma (FY, Andover, Minn./Anoka HS) finished fifth in the 500-yard freestyle (5:58.09).
• Beth Milam (SO, Princeton, Minn./Princeton HS) competed in the 1,650-yard freestyle for the first time as a collegian, finishing fourth in 20:56.15.
• Hailey Rathgeber (FY, Dickinson, N.D./Dickinson HS) finished sixth in the 200-yard individual medley (2:32.99).
• Sasha Perez-Ortiz (SO, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Hopkins HS) competed in the 50-yard freestyle (30.62 seconds) and 100-yard backstroke (1:18.34).
• Maya Merritt (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) competed in the 200-yard freestyle (2:37.80) and 100-yard backstroke (1:27.97).
• Julia Stensaas (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./Roosevelt HS) competed in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:22.61) and 100-yard freestyle (1:07.67).
• Alyssa Maciewski (JR, East Bethel, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) recorded a 131.25 score in one-meter diving (six dives).
• Augsburg's 400-yard freestyle relay of Rathgeber, Milam, Haag and Wourenma finished fifth in 4:03.17.

UP NEXT
• Augsburg is now idle for the holiday break, and returns to action on Jan. 14 with a triangular meet with Macalester College at Hamline University.
