KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Augsburg University women's swimming and diving team competed at the Carthage College Invitational, held on Friday and Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Five swimmers and two divers competed for Augsburg at the weekend meet, competing in 10 events and four relays.
• Lexci Wourenma (SO, Andover, Minn./Anoka HS) had the best individual finish for the Auggies, placing 23rd in the 50-yard freestyle with a 26.61-second time. Kaitlynne Haag (SO, Fargo, N.D./West Fargo Sheyenne HS) finished 29th in 26.99 seconds, while Lucy Pederson (FY, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) finished in 30.39 seconds, Alina Fuhs (FY, Wiesmoor, Germany/KGS Wiesmoor HS) finished in 31.83 seconds and Maya Merritt (JR, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) finished in 37.78 seconds.
• Haag also competed in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing in 1:15.84.
• Pederson competed in the 200-yard freestyle (2:33.45) and 100-yard freestyle (1:08.42), recording season-best times in both events.
• Fuhs set season-best times in both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:24.11) and 200-yard breaststroke (3:03.88).
• Merritt set a season-best time in the 200-yard backstroke (3:12.55), while also competing in the 100-yard backstroke (1:29.15).
• Merritt, Fuhs, Haag and Pederson competed in the 400-yard medley relay (5:13.24), while Merritt, Fuhs, Haag and Wourenma finished in 2:18.94 in the 200-yard medley relay.
• Haag, Wourenma, Fuhs and Pederson competed in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:54.84), while Haag, Merritt, Fuhs and Pederson swam a 4:42.70 time in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
• Divers Alyssa Maciewski (SR, East Bethel, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) and Willow Hansen (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./PIM Arts HS) competed over the weekend, with Maciewski recoridng a 210.55 score in the one-meter event.
