TOURNAMENT RESULTS

MAPLE PLAIN, Minn. – Stellan Orvick (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn HS) and River Goodmanson (JR, Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo HS) finished in the top half of a tournament filled with Division I golfers, as the Augsburg University men's golf team competed in the Bethel University Minnesota Golf Classic on Saturday and Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Orvick finished in a tie for 48th place in the 110-golfer field with a 54-hole total of 226 (73-77-76). His score was tied for 24th-best among the Division III golfers competing in the tournament.
• Augsburg finished in a tie for 11th place in the Division III portion of the meet, which included 12 schools and 15 teams, with a 54-hole total of 925 (311-306-308). In addition to the Division III competition. numerous golfers from Division I programs competed as individuals, as their teams were also competing in a tournament this weekend hosted by Division I Minnesota.
• Goodmanson finished with a 227 (75-77-75) total, tied for 54th overall and tied for 29th-best among Division III golfers.
• Sawyer Bailey (JR, Eden Prairie, Minn./Minnetonka HS) finished with a 237 (82-87-78) total, while Zach Stewart (SR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) finished with a 242 (85-75-82) total, and Vincent Weis (JR, Madison, Wis./Edgewood HS) rounded out the Auggie lineup with a 247 (81-87-79) total.
• Competing as individuals, Jack Robbel (SR, Bloomington, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) finished in a tie for 80th place with a 235 (80-77-78) total, Owen Goddard (SR, Hopkins, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) finished with a 257 (99-81-77) total, and Andrew Hicks (JR, Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka HS) scored 261 (91-86-84).

• Augsburg will compete at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational next Sunday and Monday (9/18-19) at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club in Altoona, Wis.
