2022 MIAC MEN'S SOCCER ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University defender Drew Collins (JR, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday.

Collins has been the leader of an Augsburg defense that has claimed three straight shutouts, including two in conference play during the last week -- a 4-0 win over Hamline on Tuesday and a 0-0 tie at Macalester on Saturday. Collins played all but eight of Augsburg's 180 minutes in the two games, and he had a game-saving tackle on a scoring attempt against the Scots.

Augsburg's shutout streak is now at 359:04 over parts of four games. Collins has played in a team-high 456 minutes this season.

Now 4-0-2 on the season, Augsburg has two games on the road this week -- a nonconference game at Martin Luther on Tuesday (9/20) at 4 p.m., and an MIAC game at St. Scholastica on Saturday (9/24) at 3:30 p.m.
