COLFAX, Wis. –
Mohammed Bati (SO, Dodola, Ethiopia/GAP School) finished third in a very competitive men's race, leading the Augsburg University cross country teams at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational on Friday afternoon.

AUGSBURG MEN
• Bati finished third in the 264-runner men's 8,000-meter race in 24:45.70, his seventh sub-25-minute finish in his 10 career 8K races, and his eighth top-three individual finish in those events.

Zinabu Engstrom (SO, Colorado Springs, Colo./Coronado HS) was the No. 2 Augsburg finisher for his third straight race, finishing 112th overall (98th team) in 27:16.10. All three of his finishes this season have been under 27:20.

Shareef Oty (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) set a personal-best 8K time for the second straight meet, finishing 183rd (153rd team) in 28:54.80. He was followed closely by
Bereket Wondimu (JR, Eagan, Minn./Burnsville HS), who finished 185th (154th team) in 28:56.80.

Joseph Kubly (SO, Crystal, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) finished in 29:18.70, while
Henry Nelson (SO, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) finished in 31:11.50 and
Pollei Buux Caliyare (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) finished in 32:43.20.
AUGSBURG WOMEN
• Augsburg had just two women compete at UW-Eau Claire, with
Gracie Johnson (SR, Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing HS) finishing in 94th place in the 248-runner competition in 24:32.40 over 6,000 meters.
Aleka London (FY, Park Rapids, Minn./Park Rapids HS) finished in 29:14.40.
