MINNEAPOLIS -- Six Augsburg University men's soccer players -- defender

Remus Repcak (SO, Tualatin, Ore./Tualatin HS), defender
Eric Riera (SO. Fridley, Minn./Columbia Heights HS) and midfielder
Owen Salzwedel (SO, St. Anthony Village, Minn./St. Anthony Village HS) -- were named to the Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), it was announced on Tuesday.
Daniell is a data science and mathematics major with a 3.73 grade-point average, Menna is a finance major with a 3.84 GPA, Mohrlok is an international business and management major with a 3.83 GPA, Repcak is a graphic design major with a 4.00 GPA, Riera is a marketing major with a 3.79 GPA, and Salzwedel is a psychology major with a 3.92 GPA. Menna and Repcak will advance to the CSC Academic All-America Division III men's soccer national ballot, which will be voted on by Division III sports information directors and announced in December.
It's the second straight academic honor for Daniell and Mohrlok, and the first for the remaining four Auggies. Menna has earned Academic All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors each of the last two seasons, while Mohrlok and Daniell earned Academic All-MIAC honors last year. It is the first CSC Academic All-District honor for Daniell, Mohrlok and Munzing.
Daniell had another solid season on defense for the Auggies, starting 18 games and playing 1,317 minutes (69.3 minutes per-game), with six full 90-minute efforts. She scored two goals with five assists for nine points, scoring in Augsburg's 5-2 win over Hamline on Sept. 17, and in the Auggies' 2-1 loss at Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Sept. 28. Daniell has now played in 52 games in his Augsburg career (3,170 minutes, 61.0 minutes per-game), with three goals and 12 assists for 18 career points.
Menna capped his Augsburg career with his best individual season,
earning All-MIAC honors for the first time. He played in all 21 games (1,202 minutes, 57.2 minutes per-game) and was second on the team in scoring, with nine goals and five assists for 23 points, including three game-winning goals. He scored goals in seven games this season, including two-goal efforts in Augsburg's 4-2 win at Saint Mary's on Sept. 21 and in the Auggies' 3-2 win over Carleton on Oct. 23. Menna was tied for eighth
among MIAC players in goals scored, tied for 17th in assists and 10th in points. Menna finished his 64-game college career (2,685 minutes played, 41.2 minutes per-game) with 14 goals and 10 assists for 38 points, with four game-winning goals.
A three-year starting central defender for the Auggies, Mohrlok was the leader of an Auggie defense that allowed just 29 goals on the season (1.37 team goals-against-average), starting 19 games and playing in 1,527 minutes (80.4 minutes per-game). He scored four goals with two assists for 10 points on the season, scoring in the Auggies' 4-1 win at St. Norbert (Wis.) on Sept. 1, in a 4-0 win at Northwestern-St. Paul on Sept. 3, in a 2-1 win at Wartburg (Iowa) on Sept. 8, and in a 5-2 win over Hamline on Sept. 17. A transfer who played his first season at Division II St. Cloud State, Mohrlok played in 54 games in three Augsburg seasons (4,287 minutes, 79.4 minutes per-game), with seven goals and three assists for 17 career points.
Starting all 21 games and playing in 1,694 minutes (80.7 minutes per-game, second-most on the team),
Repcak earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors this season. He was a dynamic playmaker from the wing, scoring two goals with a team-leading 13 assists for 17 points. Repcak led the MIAC in assists this season and tied for 16th in points, currently
tied for ninth among all NCAA Division III players in total assists. He had a goal or assist in 11 of his 21 games, including three games with two assists. In 39 career games (2,284 minutes played, 58.6 minutes per-game), Repcak now has six goals with 17 assists for 29 points, tied for seventh in school history in career assists.
Typically the first player off the bench in the Auggie defensive backfield, Riera played in 20 games this season, playing in 764 minutes (38.2 minutes per-game). He contributed four assists on the year, including two assists in the Auggies' 6-0 win over St. Scholastica on Oct. 26. Playing in 37 games in his two Auggie seasons (36.4 minutes per-game), Riera now has a goal and five assists for seven career points.
Another key reserve, Salzwedel proved to be a solid player in the midfield, playing in all 21 games (seven starts, 799 minutes, 38.0 minutes per-game). He scored three goals with four assists for 10 points on the season, scoring in Augsburg's 4-0 win at Northwestern-St. Paul on Sept. 3, in Augsburg's 6-2 win over Wisconsin-River Falls on Sept. 22, and in Augsburg's 6-0 win over St. Scholastica on Oct. 26. Playing in 38 career games (1,517 minutes, 39.9 minutes per-game), Salzwedel now has seven goals and eight assists for 22 career points.
Under 21st-year head coach
Greg Holker, Augsburg finished 12-4-5 overall, 5-1-4 in MIAC play in 2024, earning a spot in the MIAC playoffs for the ninth time since the 2006 season, and fifth time in the last nine full campaigns. Augsburg has recorded eight or more wins in 16 of the last 19 seasons.
The CSC Academic All-District team is part of the
CSC Academic All-America program. Student-athletes must have a grade-point average above 3.50 (4.0 scale) and have outstanding athletic credentials. Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.
The Division III Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure, to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the Division III Academic All-America teams program.
