MIAC CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS

Lexci Wuorenma (JR, Andover, Minn./Anoka HS) set three times that rank in the top five in school history in their respective events, leading the Augsburg University women's swimming and diving team at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, held this week at the University of Minnesota Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Setting personal-best times in all three of her events, Wourenma finished in 20th place in the 100-yard freestyle on Saturday with a 55.59-second effort, the third-fastest time in the event in school history. On Friday, she finished 19th in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:04.12, the fourth-fastest time in school history, and on Thursday, she placed 23rd in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.35 seconds, tied for the fifth-fastest time in school history.

Lucy Pederson (SO, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) swam personal-best times in all three of her events, placing 39th in the 50-yard freestyle in 28.96 seconds on Thursday, 29th in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:25.89 on Friday, and 29th in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:03.54 on Saturday.
