2025 MIAC FOOTBALL ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University football wide receiver
Tyrone Wilson (SR, Ellendale, Minn./New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva HS) and linebacker
RJ Chakolis (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Hopkins HS) were named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Football Athletes of the Week on Monday, Wilson on offense for the second time in his career, and Chakolis on defense.

Wilson caught nine passes for 181 yards and three touchdowns, including scores of 56 and 51 yards on back-to-back drives in the fourth quarter, in
Augsburg's 32-21, come-from-behind win at Macalester on Saturday. Wilson's 181 receiving yards marked his third 100-yard-plus receiving game of the season and eighth of his collegiate career. Wilson has now caught 47 passes for 648 yards and eight touchdowns, ranking fourth among MIAC players in receiving yardage, second in receptions and tied for first in receiving touchdowns.

Chakolis led all players with a season-high 16 tackles (11 solo), with 1.0 sacks, 1.5 tackles for-loss, a fumble recovery and a blocked punt returned 23 yards for a touchdown on the opening drive of the third quarter against the Scots. Chaklois' blocked punt touchdown sparked the Auggie comeback, after trailing the Scots 14-6 at halftime. Chakolis now has a team-high 64 tackles (29 solo), with 5.0 tackles for-loss, 2.0 sacks and an interception. He ranks second among MIAC players in total tackles and fifth in tackles for-loss.
Augsburg returns to action with an MIAC game against Concordia College-Moorhead this Saturday (10/25) at 12 p.m. at Edor Nelson Field.
