Allison Hookom named USTFCCCA All-Academic

Allison HookomMINNEAPOLIS -- For the second straight year, Augsburg University women's track and field sprinter Allison Hookom (JR, Andover, Minn./Anoka HS) has been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team, it was announced recently. 

To be named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete, a student-athlete must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.00 scale and have finished among the top 50 individuals in any event in the national rankings or have participated at either the NCAA Indoor or Outdoor National Championships. A biology major with a 3.94 GPA, Hookom has earned Academic All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors twice in her career.

Hookom had another outstanding track and field campaign in 2025, winning two MIAC individual titles, while placing third and fourth in two other conference events. She now has won four MIAC individual titles in her career, with seven All-MIAC (top-three) finishes, four All-MIAC Honorable Mention (places 4-6) finishes and 14 top-10 MIAC performances.

In the 2025 indoor season, Hookom won MIAC championships in the women's 400- and 600-meter dashes, qualifying for the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships for the third straight year in the women's 400-meter dash, earning All-American honors for the first time in her career with a third-place finish. She set Augsburg school records twice on the weekend, running a 56.39-second effort in the preliminaries and a 56-15-second time in the finals.

In the outdoor season, Hookom finished in third place at the 2025 MIAC Championships in the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.54), while finishing fourth in the 400-meter dash (56.41 seconds).

Also a member of Augsburg's women's soccer team, Hookom has earned Academic All-MIAC honors twice and earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors in 2024.
