
MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University men's golfer
Jack Berry (FY, Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS) was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday.
For the second straight tournament, Berry earned medalist honors, winning the
Gustavus Adolphus College Bobby Krig Invitational, held Saturday and Sunday. Berry claimed victory in the 97-golfer meet with a 2-over-par 215 total (72-73-70) -- 13 strokes better than his previous 54-hole collegiate-best score. He claimed 12 birdies in his 54 holes, with his final round 70 just a stroke off his season-best score.
Berry has recorded scores in the 60s or 70s in 15 of his 19 competitive rounds in his initial college campaign, with a team-best 75.9 stroke average, tied for 18th-best among MIAC golfers.
Augsburg closes its 2025-26 this Saturday and Sunday (4/25-26) at the Saint John's University Spring Invitational, held at the Wapicada Golf Club in St. Clound, Minn., and the Monticello Country Club in Monticello, Minn.
