McElroy, Hookom earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors

MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University track and field athletes D'Vante McElroy (FY, Apple Valley, Minn./Apple Valley HS) and Allison Hookom (SR, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) have earned All-North Region honors from the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their accomplishments during the 2026 season, it has been announced.

Hookom earned All-North Region honors during the indoor season in the women's 400-meter run, and McElroy earned All-North Region honors during the outdoor season in the men's triple jump. According to the USTFCCCA, the top eight individuals in each event from each of the 10 Division III regions on the year-end "Athletic.net Descending Order Lists" earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-eight relay teams.

Allison HookomHookom earned All-North Region honors for the fourth straight season in the indoor 400-meter dash. This season, she finished in third place in both the 400-meter dash (57.66 seconds) and 600-meter run (1:36.73) at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, and finished in eighth place in the 400-meter dash (58.74 seconds) and 14th in the 400-meter hurdles at the MIAC Outdoor Championships.

In her collegiate career, Hookom has recorded nine All-MIAC (top-three) finishes, four All-MIAC Honorable Mention (places 4-6) finishes and 17 top-10 MIAC meet performances, along with four conference individual championships. She earned berths in the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships three times in the 400-meter dash, earning All-American honors with a third-place finish in 2025.

D'Vante McElroyMcElroy earned All-North Region honors in the outdoor triple jump, after he set a school record in the event with a 14.46-meter (47-feet-5.25) leap, finishing second at the MIAC Outdoor Championships. His effort marked a 7.25-inch improvement from the old school record of 14.27 meters (46-feet-10.0), set by Kevin Haglund in 2008. The 14.46-meter jump ended up as the 35th-longest jump among NCAA Division III competitors nationally this season.

During the indoor season, McElroy earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors with a fifth-place finish at the MIAC Indoor Champoinships in the triple jump, with a 13.46-meter (44-feet-2.0) effort.
