MEN'S HONOR ATHLETE

Mitchel Munzing has demonstrated excellence on both the soccer pitch and the classroom. A biochemistry major with a 3.95 G-P-A, Mitchel earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-America and United Soccer Coaches Division III Scholar All-America honors this season, and Academic All-MIAC honors three years in a row. He is a prestigious Goldwater Scholar and recently co-authored a published research article in organic chemistry. On the field as a center midfielder, Mitchel finished his career with 32 goals and 27 assists for 91 points, with nine game-winning goals. He finished his career second in school history in career points, fourth in career goals and third in career assists. Mitchel earned All-MIAC honors in both 2025 and 2023, All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors in 2024, and was a United Soccer Coaches All-America and All-Region honoree this season.

Tenley Stewart has truly embodied what it means to be an Augsburg student-athlete. A mathematics and data science double-major with a 4.0 G-P-A, Tenley will be a three-time All-MIAC honoree and a four-time AHCA All-American Scholar. A team co-captain on the ice as a defender, Tenley played in a school record-tying 109 career games, scoring seven goals with 28 assists for 35 points, with four power-play goals, four game-winning goals, and 116 blocked shots, earning All-MIAC honors her sophomore year and All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors her senior year. Off the ice, she has participated in activities with Special Olympics, Feed My Starving Children, Jess Brestel Toy Drive, and has volunteered in her mother’s elementary school classroom. She is also a member of Augsburg’s chapter of the Pi Mu Epsilon honorary mathematics society, an officer of Augsburg’s Unbounded Math Club, and coaches youth hockey each summer.

Carver Tierney transferred to Augsburg for his senior season and made an immediate impact, setting single-season school records with 20 goals and 46 points, leading the conference in goals and finishing fourth among all NCAA Division III players in scoring. He had five multi-goal games in leading the Auggies to the NCAA national playoff quarterfinals with a school-record 18 wins.

For the second straight year, Nora Stepan claimed honors as the top-scoring defender in the country, leading all NCAA Division III defenders with 17 goals, adding 15 assists for 32 points. Nora earned MIAC Defensive Player of the Year honors for the second straight season, became the third Auggie women’s hockey player to earn All-MIAC honors all four years of their careers, and was named to both the AHCA and D3HockeyNews.com All-American teams for the second straight year.

Mohammed Bati will be remembered as the best men’s cross country runner in both Augsburg and MIAC history. In 2025, he became the first MIAC men’s runner to ever win four conference titles, went on to win the NCAA regional for the second time to qualify for the national championships for the third time, and finished his career with a second-place finish at the national meet for the second straight year, smashing the 8K school record by 15 seconds with a 23 minute, 39.6-second effort.

Allison Hookom continued to shine in the long sprints for the Auggies, claiming a pair of all-conference finishes at this spring’s MIAC Indoor Championships. She finished third in both the 400-meter dash and 600-meter run at the conference meet. In her career, she now has nine All-MIAC finishes, four All-MIAC Honorable Mention finishes, four conference individual titles and 16 top-10 finishes in conference indoor and outdoor meets.
MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

JJ Semanko earned MIAC Rookie of the Year honors with a dominating campaign. He led the Auggies in points, rebounds and assists, averaging 17.8 points, 8.6 rebounds per-game, adding 67 assists. He scored in double figures in 24 of Augsburg’s 27 games, and earned All-Conference honors, in addition to being named D3Hoops.com Region 9 Rookie of the Year and an all-region selection.
WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Peyton Behr was a solid presence on the blue line, scoring three power-play goals and adding three assists for six points. Her plus-24 plus-minus rating was second-best among all Auggie players this season, and tied for sixth among all MIAC players, as Augsburg won the conference regular-season title and made the NCAA playoffs for the second straight year.

Six games into her first season as Augsburg’s starting point guard, Evelyn Perkins suffered a torn PCL, an injury that normally takes at least three months to heal. She returned to the court in just 10 weeks, playing in the final seven games of the season, never missing a practice or rehab session, while serving as a dedicated captain and leader.

Augsburg’s leadoff hitter in baseball, Stanley Regguinti earned All-MIAC and All-Region honors from both the ABCA and D3baseball.com in 2025. He hit .385 with nine triples, a home run and 22 RBI, and finished third in the conference with a 1.117 OPS.
2025 SPRING WOMEN'S ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

Morgan Paaske shined in both the pitching circle and at the plate for the Auggie softball team in 2025. She won 11 games with three shutouts and 91 strikeouts as a pitcher, and hit a team-leading .407 with seven doubles, six home runs and 33 RBI, earning All-MIAC honors.
MEN'S TEAM OF THE YEAR

Under head coach Greg Holker, this season was simply incredible, as the Auggies went 18-3-3 overall and reached the NCAA’s Elite Eight in its fourth-ever appearance in the national tournament. Carver Tierney, Christian Hodges, Mitchel Munzing, Jeffrey Richter and Mizael Harris were named United Soccer Coaches All-Region, and Tierney, Hodges and Munzing also earned All-American honors.
WOMEN'S TEAM OF THE YEAR

Under head coach and 2026 MIAC Coach of the Year Elizabeth Bauer, Augsburg won the MIAC regular-season title and qualified for the NCAA National Tournament, both for the second straight year. The Auggies finished 21-5-1 overall. Nora Stepan earned MIAC Player of the Year on Defense and Division III All-American honors, and joined Kate Haug, Ella Olson and Aunna Schulte as all-conference honorees, with Tenley Stewart named all-conference honorable mention.
MEN'S MOST IMPROVED TEAM

Under head coach Aaron Griess, Augsburg made a five-win improvement from last season, finishing at 17-10 overall and reaching the conference playoff semifinals. Auggies JJ Semanko and Elias Batala earned all-conference honors, with Hanif Muhammad being named all-conference honorable mention.

Under head coach Clara Webby, Augsburg made a two-win improvement in both overall and conference play, finishing 10-8-1 overall. Jayla Ponce was named MIAC Player of the Year on offense and earned all-region honors, and Lennon Folstad and Allison Hookom earned all-conference honorable mention honors.
