2021-22 MIAC MEN'S HOCKEY ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Jarod BlackowiakMINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University forward Jarod Blackowiak (SR, Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie HS) was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Hockey Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday.

Blackowiak had three goals and an assist in five games during the holiday break, as No. 4-ranked Augsburg went 4-1, with a stretch of four victories in a row. At the Oswego State (N.Y.) Hockey Classic, Blackowiak scored the game-winning goal at the 8:16 mark of the third period in Augsburg's 2-1 win over host Oswego State on Jan. 1. He figured in both goals, with a goal and assist, in Augsburg's 2-1 win over UW-River Falls on Thursday, then scored the game-tying goal with 5:02 left in regulation, forcing overtime in Augsburg's 4-3, come-from-behind win over No. 13-ranked UW-Stevens Point on Saturday.

Blackowiak now has six goals and four assists for 10 points -- one of five Auggies with 10 or more points on the season.
