MAPLE GROVE , Minn. – Led by an eighth-place individual finish by
Fritz Belisle (SR, Red Wing, Minn./Roseville Area HS), the Augsburg University men's golf team placed fifth as a team at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, held over the weekend at Rush Creek Golf Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Belisle finished with a 54-hole score of 221 (79-71-71), matching his career-low 54-hole score set just last weekend at the Twin Cities Classic. He tied for eighth place overall in the field of 45 golfers, earning automatic All-Championship Team and All-MIAC (top-10) honors in the process. Belisle rounds out the fall portion of the 2023-24 season with a 75.8 stroke average.

Stellan Orvick (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn HS) narrowly missed the top-10 as he landed in a tie for 13
th place, shooting a 224 (76-72-76). Orvick has now finished top-25 at the MIAC Championships in each of his four seasons. With the fall season now over, Orvick's stroke average sits at 73.6, the best on the team.

River Goodmanson (SR, Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo HS) finished in a tie for 29
th place overall, posting a three-round score of 234 (78-79-77). Goodmanson now holds a 78.3 stroke average through the fall portion of the season.

Sawyer Bailey (SR, Eden Prairie, Minn./Minnetonka HS) finished in sole possession of 35
th place, shooting a three-round score of 239 (83-75-81). Bailey now holds an 80.7 stroke average this season.
Vincent Weis (SR, Madison, Wis./Edgewood HS) was just behind him in a tie for 36
th place, turning in a final score of 240 (80-78-82). Weis finishes the fall season with a 78.2 stroke average.
• As a team, Augsburg finished in fifth place with a 914 (313-296-305) score, closing the fall half of the 2023-24 season with a 303.8 team stroke average, an improvement of nearly eight strokes from a season ago.
