MINNEAPOLIS – Four members of the Augsburg University men's and women's track and field teams earned Minnesota Collegiate Athletic Conference honors at the outdoor championships, it was announced on Thursday.

After earning the conference title in the 400 and placing sixth in the 200 in the indoor season
, Allison Hookom (FY, Andover, Minn./Anoka HS) secured her third All-MIAC honor for the Auggies in her first-year campaign, finishing as the conference runner-up in the 400-meter dash with a personal-record outdoor time of 58.48 seconds. Hookom also qualified for finals in the 200-meter dash, placing ninth with a time of 26.51 seconds, and was a member of the Augsburg 4x100-meter relay team that finished eighth. Her 400-meter time sits third in the conference overall this season.
CC Cesare (FY, Crystal, Minn./Armstrong HS) shattered her own school record in the triple jump, clearing 11.31 meters in her final attempt of the championships. With that distance, Cesare placed fourth in the conference and earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors for the second time in her career. Cesare was also a member of the Augsburg 4x100-meter relay team that finished eighth. Her new top distance in the long jump ranks fifth in the MIAC this season overall.
Varney Conneh (SR, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) collected the fourth MIAC honor of his career, earning All-MIAC Honorable Mention status in the 100-meter dash with a fourth-place finish after setting a personal record with a time of 10.90 seconds. He also competed in the 200-meter dash, placing 12th. Conneh's 100-meter time ranks sixth in the MIAC this season.
Getinat Asfaw (JR, Eagan, Minn./Rosemount HS) earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention accolades for the third time this season, finishing fourth in the 800-meter run with a personal-best time of 1:55.02. Asfaw also competed in the 1500-meter run, earning one point for Augsburg with an eighth-place finish after clocking a time of 3:58.25. His 800-meter time ranks sixth in the MIAC this season.
