ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Augsburg University men's and women's track and field teams competed for the final team before the conference championships at the Hamline University Meet of the UnSaintly on Friday afternoon.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
•
Allison Hookom (SO, Andover, Minn./Anoka HS) claimed a pair of event wins, placing first in both the 400 and 800-meter dashes. Her time of 57.91 seconds in the 400 was a new personal best in the outdoor season and was the third-fastest in program history. In the 800 meter, she clocked a time of 2:20.08.

Takia Campbell (FY, Eagan, Minn./Burnsville HS) set a new personal record in the 100-meter dash, placing 12
th with a time of 13.63 seconds.

Annabel Lantz (JR, Afton, Minn./Stillwater Area HS) competed in the 1500-meter run, placing 14
th with a time of 6:38.25.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
•
Kameron Smith (FY, Arlington, Texas/Mansfield Summit HS) set a personal record in the outdoor long jump, clearing 6.37 meters to claim first place. With that distance, Smith now ranks sixth in school history in the event. Smith also competed in the triple jump, placing fourth with a distance of 12.87 meters.
• The men's 4x400 meter squad of
Hassan Abdi (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS),
Getinat Asfaw (SR, Eagan, Minn./Rosemount HS),
Eman Clement (FY, Stone Mountain, Ga./Towers HS), and
Shareef Oty (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) clocked a time of 3:31.31 to place second in the six-team field.
• Asfaw also competed in the 800 meter, running his fastest race of the outdoor season with a time of 1:57.18 to finish fifth.

Nasiruddin Shariff (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./Edina HS) placed 21
st in a pair of sprinting events, clocking times of 11.91 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 24.62 seconds in the 200-meter dash, the latter of which marked a new personal record.

• The Auggies will return to the campus of Hamline University for the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships next weekend with events scheduled for both Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11.
