MINNEAPOLIS – The Augsburg University men's and women's track and field teams claimed a pair of event victories at the six-team University of St. Thomas Opener on Friday evening.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
•
D'Vante McElroy (FY, Apple Valley, Minn./Apple Valley HS) claimed victory in the triple jump with a 13.05-meter (42-feet-9.75) effort, the ninth-best men's indoor triple jump effort in Augsburg history. McElroy also competed in the 60-meter dash, finishing in 7.59 seconds.
• In a five-Auggie 400-meter dash,
Kyler Bad Warrior (SO, Shakopee, Minn./V. Sue Cleveland (N.M.) HS) claimed victory in 57.25 seconds. He also competed in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 26.08 seconds.
• Vincente Bolivar (FY, Bennett, Colo./Kiowa HS) made his collegiate debut with a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash (24.29 seconds), while recording a 7.53-second time in the 60.

Foster Mulvehill (JR, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS) finished fifth in the 200 in 24.53 seconds and 12th in the 60, leading the Auggie entries with a 7.36-second time.

Tyler Anderson (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) finished in 57.35 seconds in the 400 and 8.15 seconds in the 60-meter dash.

Nahom Negassie (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./Hopkins HS) finished in 7.58 seconds in the 60 and 24.94 seconds in the 200.

Jamir Horton (SO, Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) finished in 25.58 seconds in the 200 and 57.90 seconds in the 400.

Evan Bitengo (SO, Coon Rapids, Minn./Anoka HS) finished in 25.62 seconds in the 200 and 57.47 seconds in the 400.

LaDondre Hubbard Rivera (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Washington Tech Magnet HS) finished in 7.78 seconds in the 60 and 25.67 seconds in the 200.

Henry Nelson (SR, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) set another personal-best time in the mile run, finishing in 4:43.16.

Paul Yang (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Washington Tech Magnet HS) finished in 57.97 seconds in the 400 and 2:20.25 in the 800-meter run, with
Tanner Rouillard-Horne (SR, St. Paul, Minn./Harding HS) finishing in 2:35.94 in the 800.

Shawn Huberty (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Washington Tech Magnet HS) finished fourth in the high jump with a 1.86-meter (6-feet-1.25) clearance.

Leon Andrewin Jr. (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Washington Tech Magnet HS) finished in 7.99 seconds in the 60 and 27.04 seconds in the 200.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
•
Emaire Greene (FY, Jacksonville, Fla./Bishop John J. Snyder HS) finished in second place in the 400-meter dash in 1:07.86, while recording an 8.97-second time in the 60-meter dash.
•
Alwena Brix (SO, Plouay, France/Lycee Jean Mace, Rennes) finished in fifth place for the Auggies in the 800-meter run, in 2:43.14.
Emma Ryan (FY, St. Joseph, Minn./Rocori HS) finished in 3:26.36.

Davi Worman (JR, Edina, Minn./Groves Academy HS) claimed a 7:12.98 time in the mile run.
•
Nacia Griffin (SO, Golden Valley, Minn./Hopkins HS) finished in 8.37 seconds in the 60 and 29.69 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
•
Sanii Hansbrough (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest HS) claimed a 7.88-meter (25-feet-10.25) effort in the shot put.
