Goodmanson leads Auggies at Twin Cities Classic

TOURNAMENT RESULTS

LE SUEUR, Minn. – Led by a 17th-place finish from River Goodmanson (SR, Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo HS), the Augsburg University men's golf team placed in a tie for 13th place at the Gustavus Adolphus College Twin Cities Classic, held Saturday to Monday at three area golf courses.

LOCATION: Elk River CC, Elk River, Minn. (Par 72, 6,560 yards); Links at Northfork, Ramsey, Minn. (Par 72, 6,989 yards); Le Sueur CC, Le Sueur, Minn. (Par 72, 6,365 yards)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Goodmanson led the Auggies with a 54-hole total of 224 (76-75-73), tying for 13th place in the 100-golfer field. Stellan Orvick (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn HS) finished in a tie for 34th place with a 230 (73-73-84) total.
• As a team, the Auggies finished in 13th place in the 13-school, 17-team meet with a three-day total of 949 (317-302-330).
Hunter Ubel (SO, Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS) shot a career-best 251 (87-75-89), and Nick Mountain (JR, Woodbury, Minn./Hill-Murray HS) shot 252 (85-83-84).
• Competing as individuals Luke Mountain (SR, Woodbury, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) shot 254 (82-86-86) and Max Gundlach (FY, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS) shot 22 (88-78-96).

• Augsburg closes the fall half of the 2024-25 season next Saturday to Monday (10/5-7) at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships at Braemar Country Club in Edina, Minn.
