MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. –
Allison Hookom (JR, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) won the title in the women's 400-meter dash and recorded a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run, as the Augsburg University men's and women's track and field teams opened their 2025 outdoor seasons at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium over the Spring Break weekend.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Hookom scored an event victory in the top division of the women's 400-meter dash, which included several athletes from Division I and II schools, in 57.49 seconds, nearly a second over the second-place finisher. The time marks a collegiate personal best in the outdoor 400 for Hookom. Hookom also finished in fourth place in the top division in the 800-meter run, finishing in 2:17.44.

Alwena Brix (FY, Plouay, France/Lycee Jean Mace, Rennes) opened her collegiate outdoor track career with a seventh-place finish in the second division of the 800-meter run, running in 2:36.16. She finished 25th in the top division of the mile run in 5:53.09.

Annabel Lantz (SR, Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS) finished in 12th place in the second division of the mile run in 6:51.72, and finished in 31st place in the second division of the 800-meter run in 3:08.66.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Brandon Travis (FY, Baton Rouge, La./Juan Seguin HS) led the way for the Auggie men with a pair of top-15 finishes, finishing 11th in the long jump with a 6.58-meter (21-feet-7.25) effort, and finishing 15th in the triple jump with a 13.59-meter (44-feet-7) effort.

Grayson Harris (SR, Littleton, Colo./Dakota Ridge HS) recorded a 19th-place finish in the 10,000-meter run, finishing in 35:22.52.

Henry Nelson (JR, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) had a pair of top-25 finishes, finishing in 21st place in the second division of the 800-meter run (personal-best 2:11.58) and in 24th place in the top division of the mile run (4:48.98).

Abdikafi Khalif (FY, Apple Valley, Minn./Apple Valley HS) scored a 16th-place finish in the second division of the mile run with a 4:49.41 clocking, with
Kevin Romero Rivera (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Columbia Heights HS) finishing in 23rd place in 5:02.93 and
Paul Yang (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Washington Tech Magnet HS) finishing 28th in 5:12.77.
• Romero Rivera finished in 22nd place in the second division of the 800-meter run in 2:12.07, with Yang finishing 23rd in 2:12.58.
