Schuster, Clem earn WIAC lacrosse honors

MINNEAPOLIS -- For the third straight year, Augsburg University women's lacrosse goalie Nicole Schuster (SR, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors, and attacker Astrid Clem (SO, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) earned All-Sportsmanship Team honors, as the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its postseason honors on Wednesday.

Nicole SchusterSchuster earned conference postseason honors for the third straight year, after earning All-WIAC Honorable Mention honors last year and All-Midwest Lacrosse Conference Honorable Mention honors in 2024. A total of 33 WIAC players earned postseason honors in women's lacrosse -- a 12-player first team, 12-player second team and nine-player honorable-mention team.

Augsburg's primary goalkeeper throughout her career, Schuster played in all 12 games this season, starting nine, (508:57 time in goal), with 134 saves, a .431 save percentage and a 20.87 goals against-average. She had double-digit save totals in seven games, including a career-high 24 saves against Wisconsin-Eau Claire on April 18.

In 48 career games (45 starts, 2,668:00 played), Schuster has a 36.92 career goals against-average, 604 saves and a .431 save percentage, to go along with 146 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers. Her 604 saves and 12.58 saves per-game average are both tops in school history, with her 146 ground balls fourth-most and her 3.04 ground balls per-game average third-best.

Astrid ClemClem was named to the All-WIAC Sportsmanship Team, honoring individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It includes one member from each team as selected by that team.

Kohout started 10 of 12 games this season, with three goals and three points, adding five ground balls and two draw controls. In her 16-game career, Kohout has three goals and three points, with eight ground balls and two draw controls.

Under second-year head coach Hemie Collier, Augsburg finished 0-12 overall, 0-8 in WIAC play in 2026.
