2021 USTFCCA DIVISION III OUTDOOR ALL-REGION SELECTIONS

MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University men's track and field thrower
Evan Bergemann (JR, Lake Crystal, Minn./Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial HS) received U.S. Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association Division III All-Central Region honors for his efforts in the javelin throw, it was announced recently.
Bergemann earned the USTFCCA regional honor based on being ranked among the top five competitors in the Central Region in the javelin throw, with his school-record 57.49-meter (188-feet-7) throw at the
Hamline Easter Eve Invitational on April 3. He threw over 150 feet in all eight of his outdoor competitions this season, eclipsing 165 feet four times. He finished 11th in the men's college division at the
prestigious Drake Relays in April, throwing 47.06 meters (154-feet-4).
He finished the season
ranked 20th among all NCAA Division III throwers in the javelin, but only the top 17 throwers qualified for this weekend's NCAA Division III National Championships. His throw was just two feet shy of the last qualifying distance of 58.08 meters (190-feet-7). His season-best throw was
second-longest among NCAA Division III Central Region throwers this season.
