MEET RESULTS
ST. PAUL, Minn. --
Evan Bergemann (JR, Lake Crystal, Minn./Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial HS) shattered a 36-year-old Augsburg University school record in the men's javelin throw, leading the Auggie men's and women's track and field teams in their outdoor season debut on Saturday, at the Hamline University Easter Eve Invitational.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Bergemann's 57.49-meter (188-feet-7.0) throw broke the old school record in the javelin, a 53.86-meter (176-feet-8.0) effort set by Mikal Kindem in 1985. Bergemann's throw, an improvement of nearly 36 feet over his previous career-best, is currently
best among Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference throwers by 33 feet, and
seventh-best among NCAA Division III competitors nationally.

Taron Busby (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./Hope Academy HS) took a half-second off his previous career-best in the 100-meter dash, winning the event in 11.44 seconds, a time currently sixth-fastest in the MIAC. He also set a personal-best time in the 200-meter dash, finishing fourth overall in 23.51 seconds, a time now 12th-fastest in the MIAC.

Parker Blake (JR, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) set a non-wind-aided career best in the 200-meter dash, finishing fifth in 24.15 seconds. He also finished seventh in the 100-meter dash, in 12.05 seconds.
Mitch Lamers (SO, Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS) finished in eighth place in both the 100-meter dash (12.12 seconds) and the 200-meter dash (24.51).

Sakariya Hussien (SO, Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins HS), competing in his first collegiate outdoor meet, claimed an event victory in the 800-meter run, finishing in 2:04.10.

Bereket Wondimu (FY, Eagan, Minn./Burnsville HS) finished second for the Auggies in the 1,500-meter run, finishing in 4:33.66.
Kevin Sethre (JR, Berthoud, Colo./Berthoud HS) finished fourth in 4:43.89,
Greg Miller (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) finished sixth in 4:46.26, and
William McLeer (SR, Cobb, Wis./Iowa-Grant HS) finished eighth in 5:22.95.
• Competing in his first college outdoor meet,
Fritz Landherr (SO, Tracy, Minn./Tracy Area HS) finished third in the 400-meter dash (53.68) and fifth in the long jump (5.66 meters/18-feet-7.0).

David Frimpong (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Highland Park HS) finished second in the shot put (9.12 meters/29-feet-11.25) and eighth in the discus throw (19.63 meters/64-feet-5.0).
• Augsburg's 4x400-meter relay of Hussien, Landherr, Wondimu and Busby finished second in 3:38.33.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Jada Lewis (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./Edison HS) opened her outdoor season with a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash, in 26.97 seconds, and a third-place finish in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 12.88 seconds. Her 200-meter time is currently
fifth-best in the MIAC, while her 100-meter time is sixth-best.

Jordan Terry (JR, Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS) set a career-best mark in the long jump, winning the event in a wind-aided 5.12 meters (16-feet-9.75), breaking her old best by more than nine inches.

Mya Bishop (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Highland Park HS) finished in sixth place in both the 100-meter dash (13.78) and 200-meter dash (28.81).
Alisa Logan (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Central HS) finished ninth in the 100-meter dash (14.28).

Grace Hartman (JR, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) finished in sixth place in the 1,500-meter run (5:38.51), while
Camryn Masse (JR, Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie HS) finished 10th (6:34.79).
