NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Led by an individual conference title by
Allison Hookom (SO, Andover, Minn./Anoka HS) for the second consecutive year, the Augsburg University men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships over the weekend on the campus of St. Olaf College.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Hookom secured All-MIAC honors in two events for the Auggies, winning the conference crown in the 600-meter with a new school record 1:35.71 clocking and placing second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.13 seconds. Her 600-meter time ranks as the fastest in the MIAC this season and the third-fastest in all of Division III.

Gracie Johnson (SR, Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing HS) was the only other competitor for the Auggies on the women's side, setting a new personal record with a time of 18:34.05 in the 5,000-meter run to land in 12
th place and finishing 17
th in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 18:34.05.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Mohammed Bati (SO, Dodola, Ethiopia/GAP School) earned All-MIAC honors for the second time in his track and field career, finishing second in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:37.67, a new school record for the indoor season.

Kameron Smith (FY, Arlington, Texas/Mansfield Summit HS) earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention status in a pair of jumping events, landing in sixth place in the triple jump with a new personal record distance of 13.19 meters and placing sixth in the long jump with a mark of 6.40 meters. His triple jump distance also ranks sixth in Augsburg program history.

Getinat Asfaw (SR, Eagan, Minn./Rosemount HS) cracked the top ten in the 600 meter, finishing 10
th with a new personal best time of 1:23.82.
UP NEXT
• A select group of Auggies will compete at the Wartburg College Final Qualifier on Friday and Saturday (3/1-3/2) with one final opportunity to qualify for the national meet.
