WAVERLY, Iowa – Three members of the Augsburg University track and field team competed at the Wartburg College Final Qualifier on Saturday afternoon with one final chance to improve their times ahead of the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships next weekend.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Allison Hookom (SO, Andover, Minn./Anoka HS) moved up to second place all time in the Augsburg record book with a time of 57.81 seconds in the 400-meter dash, placing second. Hookom's time ranks as the second-fastest in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 28
th in all of NCAA Division III this season.

Mohammed Bati (SO, Dodola, Ethiopia/GAP School) finished fourth in the 3,000-meter run, clocking a time of 8:25.35, just over a second off his season best. His personal-best time of 8:24.31, adjusted to 8:18.51, from the Snowshoe Open earlier this season ranks 43
rd in NCAA Division III.

Getinat Asfaw (SR, Eagan, Minn./Rosemount HS) finished with a time of 1:57.40 in the 800-meter run, placing 19
th.
