Jada Lewis (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./Edison HS) won both women's short sprint events, and
Fritz Landherr (SO, Tracy, Minn./Tracy Area HS) and
Kevin Sethre (JR, Berthoud, Colo./Berthoud HS) claimed men's event wins, leading the Augsburg University track and field teams at the COVID Classic Triangular meet at Saint Mary's University on Saturday.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Lewis claimed a pair of event wins, tying a season-best with a 26.96-second win in the 200-meter dash and scoring a 7.42-second triumph in the 55-meter dash.
•
Mya Bishop (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Highland Park HS) set a season-best time with a third-place, 29.05-second finish in the 200, while finishing seventh in the preliminaries of the 55 in 8.06 seconds.

Grace Hartman (JR, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) finished just shy of her career-best time in the 400-meter dash (1:15.21) with a 1:15.42-second, seventh-place finish.

A'jhianna Jackson (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Robbinsdale Cooper HS) finished fourth in the weight throw (8.64 meters, 28-feet-4.25) and fifth in the shot put (8.99 meters, 29-feet-6.0).
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Landherr tied his career-best time with a 54.55-second victory in the 400-meter dash, leading the Auggie men.
• Sethre led a 1-2-3 finish for Augsburg in the 3,000-meter run, finishing first in 10:11.41.
Aaron Puent (SO, La Crosse, Wis./La Crosse Aquinas HS) finished second in 10:13.16, and
Greg Miller (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) finished third in 10:14.16.

Varney Conneh (SO, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) finished second in the 55-meter dash in 6.64 seconds, while
Taron Busby (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./Hope Academy HS) finished fourth in 6.78 seconds. In the 200-meter dash, Conneh finished third in 23.85 seconds, while Busby finished fourth in 24.75 seconds.
Conneh tied a season-best with a 7.18-second, second-place effort in the 60-meter dash finals, then set a season-best with a 23.65-second, fourth-place effort in the 200-meter dash.
• For the second straight meet, thrower
Evan Bergemann (JR, Lake Crystal, Minn./Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial HS) set a career-best effort in the shot put, scoring a nearly half-meter improvement with a second-place, 12.91-meter (42-feet-4.25) effort.

Sakariya Hussien (SO, Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins HS) finished second in the mile run in 4:39.23.
Bereket Wondimu (FY, Eagan, Minn./Burnsville HS) set a season-best 4:57.69 in the event to finish fifth.
• Augsburg's 4x400-meter relay of Conneh, Wondimu, Landherr and Hussien set a season-best with a 3:42.89 finish.

• The meet was the final event of the indoor half of the season for Augsburg. The Auggies will open the outdoor season on April 3 at the Hamline Invitational.
