Maggie (DeGroot) Michaud, Class of 2009 … One of the most successful goalkeepers in the history of Augsburg women’s soccer, Michaud was instrumental in the renaissance of the Augsburg women’s soccer program. She played in 72 career games in goal, posting a 37-19-16 record, recording a 0.68 goals against-average and a .887 save percentage. She earned All-MIAC honors in both 2007 and 2008, and added NSCAA All-Central region accolades in 2008. An exercise science major at Augsburg, Michaud was named an NSCAA Scholar All-Region Honorable Mention. After graduation, she took on the role of assistant coach at Augsburg while working in neuro-rehab. After earning her bachelor's degree in nursing, she moved to Anchorage, Alaska where she works as a nurse and lives with her wife, Callie, and two dogs, Butter and Queso.
