Todd Tourand ’99 (Golf) -- All-MIAC with top-10 conference meet finishes in 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998 (one of only 4 men’s golf athletes in Augsburg history to earn All-MIAC honors all four years), earning MIAC medalist honors with 71-79--150 effort in 1998 league championships … Finished 2nd in MIAC meet in 1995, 3rd in 1996 and 7th in 1997 … Member of Auggie teams that competed at NCAA tournaments in both 1996 and 1997 … Had 4-round total of 316 in 1996 NCAA meet (t-81st) and 329 in 1997 (t-87th) … Named GCAA District V Freshman of the Year in 1996 … Team’s leading scorer in 1997-98 (77.2 stroke average) and had career-best 76.4 average in 1998-99 … In career (89 rounds), finished with 77.21 stroke average, 10th-best average in modern history of program (since 1994-95).
Todd Tourand, class of 1999 … One of the most successful men’s golfers in school history, Tourand is one of only four Augsburg competitors to be named All-MIAC in all four seasons. He earned MIAC medalist honors with a two-round score of 150 at the 1998 league championships, and finished top 7 in the conference in each of his 3 other seasons. Todd earned GCAA District 5 Freshman of the Year honors in his first season, and was a key factor in Augsburg’s NCAA tournament appearances in 1996 and 1997. Playing 89 rounds at Augsburg, Tourand’s career stroke average of 77.21 ranks 10th in the modern history of Augsburg men’s golf. A business administration major at Augsburg, Todd went on to earn his MBA from the University of Wisconsin. A medical device professional at Intuitive Surgical in Sunnyvale, California, Todd lives with his wife, Stephanie, and children, Liam, Everett, and Vivienne in San Carlos, California.
