Shanna (Reed) Reineke, Class of 2010 … Shanna Reineke will be remembered as one of the best setters in the history of Augsburg’s volleyball program. In her four years as an Auggie, Shanna finished her career with 3,251 assists and 168 service aces, both totals third-best in school history. She averaged 7.53 assists and 0.39 aces per-set in her 432 career sets, both in the top 10 averages in school history. Shanna was an All-MIAC honoree in her senior season, and earned conference Setter of the Week honors twice in her career. She was the leader of an Auggie squad that earned an MIAC postseason playoff berth in 2009. Shanna was a sociology major at Augsburg. She stayed active in the volleyball community after her Auggie days, serving as an assistant coach at UW-River Falls and as a coach for the Minnesota One club. She says that Augsburg and volleyball have been key influences in her life and leadership direction, with her career journey moving into management positions at Syngenta, Target Corporate and now United Health Group Optum, where she serves as a senior manager of operations engagement and strategic management. She and her husband of 12 years, Auggie alum Colby Reineke, have two children, Yuna and Juno, and live in Minneapolis.
